Admissions FAQs

When is your enrollment schedule?
We accept enrollment applications at any time of the year, which means we are open now. We are now accepting applications for the 2024-25 school year that starts in August. To send in an inquiry or application form, please click here.
How long is the admissions process?
The admissions process generally takes 1 week upon receipt of application form and complete requirements. The Admissions office will be in touch with you regularly as you complete your application process.
When does the school year in CIS start and end?
Our school year starts in August and end in June the following year.
How many students are in one class?
For Early Years, our maximum allowable number of students in one class is 14.

For Primary Years, Middle Years, and Diploma Programme, the maximum allowable number of students in one class is 20-24.

If the number of students or applications for enrollment exceed the maximum allowable number, we open a waitlist and evaluate all needs and resources to open another class/section, if able.

Does CIS allow transfers in the middle of the school year?
CIS generally accepts transferees in the middle of the school year with conditions. Our teaching staff and student body make every effort to welcome our new students and ensure that the transition to CIS is as smooth as possible. Does CIS offer Financial Aid?
There is a limit of the number of financial aid scholarships we provide. Please contact our Admissions office for more information by emailing admissions@cis.edu.ph
What documents do I need to submit to enroll?

Is there a dorm or boarding facility in CIS?
Yes and we are currently accepting students from Grades 7 to 12! Our Student Residence can accommodate up to 20 boys and 20 girls. Please email boarding@cis.edu.ph for more information.
What curriculum does CIS have?
CIS is the only IB Continuum school in the Philippines, offering PYP (Primary Years Programme), MYP (Middle Years Programme), and DP (Diploma Programme). The International Baccalaureate (IB) is an international framework designed by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) and is implemented in many countries around the world.
Does CIS provide transportation services?
CIS has a bus facility that students have the option to avail under certain conditions and demand. This services to a few key locations in Cebu City such as:

  • Talamban area
  • North Town Homes
  • Maria Luisa
  • Banilad area
  • I.T. Park
  • Cebu Business Park (Ayala) area

Does CIS provide support to students with learning needs?
Yes, CIS provides Learning Needs Support for students on a case by case basis. Please see the Student Support page and Admissions Policy for further details.
